The Foundation is a tax-exempt non-profit organization that has served the San Luis Obispo County Library since 1996. Our mission is to strengthen the San Luis Obispo County Library System through ambassadorship and financial support.
The Foundation board members are volunteers who believe libraries are at the heart of a community’s cultural life. We work here. We raise children here. We retire here. We passionately believe that supporting literacy matters. The Foundation exists to support the libraries of this county today, tomorrow and in the future to come.
Foundation board members are President Juliane McAdam, Vice President Elizabeth Manak, Treasurer Charlotte Alexander, and members at large Kristin Bridgeford, Joan Hurwit, Kristy Lundstrom, John McCarthy, Marlys McPherson, and Victoria Schmidt.
